We will elaborate on this soon but for starters, take the time to look at the house or the building from the outside. Does it fit with the style of the neighborhood or is it odd? Look for consistencies too...does the inside match the outside? Also, dont forget to check for munipality rules or building code regulations. Some municipalities have strong rules and you might not be able to change the exterior aspect easily.
